Big-bodied LSU reliever with swing-and-miss stuff and draft buzz
Deven Sheerin’s 2026 season at LSU was built on power: the 6-foot-5, 255-pound right-hander worked 20 relief outings, posted a 4.78 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 37.2 innings, and locked down five saves before being drafted by the Phillies in the fourth round. He missed time earlier in his path after a knee injury and medical redshirt, but his arm strength, leverage role, and ability to miss bats made him a legit late-inning weapon—and a strong fit for teams hunting upside in a heavy-bodied, high-strikeout reliever.
