Columbia veteran DB Jared Katz brings length, ball skills, and steady production
Jared Katz is a 6-foot-2 senior defensive back for Columbia whose profile screams reliable, high-IQ perimeter defender. In his Columbia career, he played in 37 games with 20 starts and finished with 90 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and 17 pass breakups, which points to sticky coverage and a knack for disrupting throws in the 2024 season record book. The big selling points are his size, experience, and consistent playmaking in coverage—exactly the kind of steady, battle-tested DB coaches love when they want fewer freebies on the outside.
