Sydney Hess brings steady catch-and-learn value for Sacred Heart
Sydney Hess is a right-handed catcher for Sacred Heart whose profile is built on defense, athleticism, and growth potential rather than loud counting stats; Sacred Heart’s staff initially highlighted her as “very solid defensively behind the dish” and said they wanted to develop her at corner infield too, which is a nice sign of versatility. In the 2026 season, she appeared in 10 games with 11 at-bats, and in the 2025 season she made 10 appearances with two starts, showing a depth-piece role with room to climb. If you want a grinder who can handle multiple spots and keep getting better, she fits the bill.
