LaVontis Smith brings big-play juice as a return specialist
LaVontis Smith’s calling card at North Carolina Central has been explosive special-teams production: in the 2015 season, he averaged 18.7 yards per punt return and scored a 61-yard touchdown, earning a spot on the CFPA FCS Punt Returner Watch List. That profile suggests a quick-twitch, field-flipping player who can change game momentum in one touch and likely fits best as a difference-maker in space rather than a high-volume possession target.
