veteran wing depth with size, shooting flashes, and low-usage utility
In the 2024-25 season, Austin Montgomery gave IU Indianapolis a low-minute, low-usage blend of guard/forward size and floor-spacing potential, appearing in 12 games and averaging 3.4 minutes per game; his earlier college numbers also show he can chip in without forcing the action. What makes him intriguing is the 6'6 frame, perimeter versatility, and a role-player feel that can fit a team needing connective tissue more than a ball-dominant scorer. He looks like the kind of player coaches trust to know his job and do the little things.
