Utah State’s steady, versatile tight end with real finish
In the 2001 season, J.R. Suguturaga was a do-everything Utah State tight end/fullback who brought toughness, dependability, and versatility rather than gaudy volume: he finished with 29 catches for 229 yards across 2000–01, and even lined up as a fullback when the Aggies needed it. A former two-time all-conference junior-college TE, he was praised by coaches for learning quickly and “bringing so much to this team,” which screams high football IQ and plug-and-play trust. If you value a willing blocker, flexible alignment piece, and a pro-style, team-first presence, he fits nicely.
