Mercer’s Friday-night ace with draft buzz and a comeback story
In the 2026 season, Lambert emerged as Mercer’s frontline righty, leading the Bears with 90 strikeouts while posting a 4.31 ERA across 71.0 innings and earning Freshman All-America, All-SoCon First Team, and SoCon Freshman of the Year honors. He pairs bat-missing stuff with starter durability, highlighted by a six-inning hitless outing and multiple nine-strikeout games, and he came back strong after a 2024 season-ending injury. If a staff wants a high-upside arm with proven Friday-night poise, he’s a very loud yes.
