American U's Steady Veteran Guard with Untapped Upside
Wayne Simon II, a guard for the American University Eagles, boasts career NCAA averages of 5.0 PPG, 1.9 RPG, and 1.0 APG per RealGM, with recent ESPN stats showing 0.8 PPG, 0.8 RPG, and 0.4 APG at 35.7% FG—reflecting a role player who's efficient in limited minutes. Strengths include sharp playmaking (career-high 3 assists in a game) and rebounding grit (7 boards leading Detroit Titans in an early-season 20+ point outburst on 10-15 shooting). Versatile from stints at Detroit, UChicago (8.8 PPG, 51.4% FG in 2013-14), and American U, he's a high-IQ, team-first competitor ideal for programs needing reliable bench energy and leadership without ego—perfect fit for mid-major contenders building depth.
