veteran wing who brought scoring pop and timely shot-making to SMU
In the 2017-18 season, Ben Emelogu II was a steady two-way guard for SMU, starting all 33 games and averaging 10.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, with 10+ points in 13 of 24 games noted in team materials.[2][3] His calling card was efficient perimeter scoring and big-moment confidence—he hit two 3-pointers in SMU’s upset of No. 11 Cincinnati and was recognized by SMU as a 2016-17 AAC Sixth Man of the Year, which tells you he could change games without needing the spotlight.[4][14][15]
