Veteran UTSA line piece who grew from reserve to proven depth
Josh Oatis is a long, physical offensive lineman who arrived at UTSA as a high-ceiling prospect from Gulfport, Miss., with multi-sport toughness and the rare background of playing both sides of the ball in high school. In the 2018 season, he appeared in nine games mostly on special teams, and UTSA’s 2021 preview noted his starts were injury-driven, suggesting value as a plug-and-play depth option when the road gets bumpy. He fits a team that wants size, versatility, and experience over flash.
