Texas Tech’s 6-3 forward Julie Nekolná brings efficient scoring, elite shot-blocking upside, and a proven winning résumé
Nekolná arrives at Texas Tech as a high-IQ, inside-out forward who was a 2024-25 NJCAA First Team All-American after leading Shelton State in scoring, field-goal percentage, and blocks while posting 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game in her sophomore season. Her differentiators are efficiency, rim protection, and finishing touch—she shot 56.5% from the field and 80.6% at the line, and Texas Tech coach Krista Gerlich called her a "mismatch problem" with strong rebounding and an efficient rim game. She looks like a fit for teams needing length, production, and low-maintenance impact on both ends.
