Stony Brook’s Defensive Engine and All-Around Glue Guy
Tommy Brenton was a high-motor, do-everything forward for Stony Brook, and in the 2012-13 season he was the America East Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and winner of the Lefty Driesell National Defensive Player of the Year award[2][3]. He finished his Stony Brook career as the program’s all-time leader in rebounds and steals and the Division I leader in assists, which tells you exactly why he mattered: relentless defense, elite passing for a forward, and a winning-impact profile that goes beyond box scores[1][2].
