Martrell Fantroy is a ball-hawking San Diego State DB with playmaking upside
Fantroy has shown real turnover juice for San Diego State, with sources crediting him as a ball-hawking defensive back who produced 4 interceptions in the 2025 season and 30 solo tackles in ESPN’s current stat line. He stands out for range, instincts, and playmaking in coverage rather than just tackle volume, which makes him valuable to teams that want a DB who can change games with takeaway potential. For a roster fit, he looks like a strong option if you want an aggressive, confident defensive back with disruptive upside.
