Veteran Morgan State DB Nathan Ayers brings steady back-end reliability
Nathan Ayers is a seasoned Morgan State defensive back whose profile points to experience, durability, and consistency rather than flash. In the 2013 season, he played in every game and finished with 23 tackles, 18 of them solo, plus an interception and two fumble recoveries, which tells you he was around the ball and trusted in the secondary. He was also listed as a returning starting safety heading into the 2014 season, a strong sign of coaches valuing his instincts, toughness, and dependable presence. If you want a DB who fits a disciplined, physical defense, Ayers is the kind of glue piece that quietly raises a unit's floor.
