Duquesne DB Durrell Koon: Undersized Ballhawk with Elite Ball Skills
Durrell Koon, Duquesne's versatile cornerback, stands out in the NEC with his instincts and physicality despite a 5-10 frame—leading Dukes DBs in 2025 with 3 INTs, 8 PBUs, and 42 tackles while allowing just a 48.2% completion rate on targets (PFF data). His high-motor playstyle and trash-talking edge bring intensity to a secondary that ranked top-3 in FCS pass efficiency defense; no major injury history, making him a gritty, scheme-versatile fit for Power 4 teams seeking developmental DBs with starter upside. Watch for his 2026 breakout.
