Morgan State DB Mason Pease brings veteran ballhawk DNA and a special-teams edge
Mason Pease is a seasoned defensive back profile with a playmaking résumé, highlighted by a high school senior season of 90 tackles, five interceptions, and two forced fumbles, plus first-team All-Conference and Defensive MVP honors. His value is the kind coaches love: physicality, instinct, and a history of creating turnovers rather than just making “clean” tackles. He also has multispport background and a blue-collar feel that suggests competitiveness and toughness. As a fit, he looks best for a staff that wants a DB who can help on special teams and in sub-packages, with upside tied to his instincts and urgency.
