Bobby Wolford was a bruising, reliable Boston College fullback with old-school toughness
In the 2016 season, Bobby Wolford gave Boston College a veteran fullback presence at 6-2, 248 pounds, starting five games and scoring a touchdown against Clemson before an ankle injury ended his regular-season run early.[2] His best trait was functional power: scouts and team notes praised him as a patient, balanced blocker who used his length well and fit especially well as an in-line or H-back lead blocker, even if he was not a big play-maker with the ball.[2][8] If a team wants a physical tone-setter who does the dirty work, he fits; if it wants a dynamic runner, he is not that guy.[8]
