Solidifying DB Starter Role for Alabama State Hornets in 2025
Nolan Johnson, a battle-tested cornerback who started nine of 11 games at Old Dominion in 2023 with 37 tackles, 0.5 TFL, and a clutch 40-yard interception return vs. Georgia State, brings FCS-proven coverage skills and ball-hawking instincts to the Alabama State Hornets[1]. His leadership major and physical frame stand out as differentiators, offering high-intensity play without notable injury history—ideal for SWAC teams needing a reliable shutdown DB who elevates secondaries with smart, aggressive reads. Why care? He's a transfer gem ready to dominate HBCU matchups and fit seamlessly as a Day 1 starter.
