William Wowkanyn brings veteran depth and run-stopping grit to Lamar’s defensive front
William Wowkanyn profiles as a sturdy, experienced defensive lineman with proven college production and a blue-collar style that coaches usually love. In his Lamar career, he played in 18 games and recorded 10 tackles in the 2016 season, while earlier in his junior-college career he earned first-team all-state honors and logged 20 tackles for loss with 9 sacks, which hints at disruptive upside when he’s rolling. His best differentiator is effort-and-physicality football: dependable, battle-tested, and built to eat blocks rather than chase headlines.
