Oregon State LB Walk-On Turned FBS Reception Machine in 2024
Walker Vave, a former walk-on linebacker for the Oregon State Beavers, exploded as a wide receiver in the 2024 season with 65 receptions for 713 yards and 2 TDs entering the final games—14th in FBS receptions, tripling any teammate's output (next closest: 23 catches). From benchwarmer to scholarship star, his career-high 11-catch, 151-yard game vs. San Jose State showcases elite hands and breakout speed; a gritty, high-motor differentiator in a dismal Beavers year. Ideal fit for teams needing versatile, hungry playmakers with proven production.
