Jake Johnson brings true receiving-TE upside to Idaho State
Jake Johnson profiles as a pass-catching tight end with a good frame, strong catch radius, and the kind of suddenness that can stress linebackers in the route game. Recruiters have long noted him as an advanced receiver rather than just a blocker, and that matters if Idaho State wants a TE who can create matchup problems and be trusted on intermediate throws. The main fit question is durability and consistency, but his ceiling is higher than a routine in-line TE.
