Diamante Martinez brings rim protection and disruptive length to Alabama
Martinez is a defense-first forward who gives Alabama instant value as a shot-blocker and hustle piece; in the 2024-25 season, she played in 23 games, ranked third on the team with 23 blocks, and led the Tide in rejections six times. Her best calling card is paint deterrence—she even posted six blocks in a game, a performance tied for the third-most in Alabama history—making her the kind of low-usage, high-impact fit that can swing possessions without needing touches.
