Kaleb Mathis is Colorado’s special-teams spark plug with enough slot-WR juice to matter
In the 2025 season, Mathis played all 12 games for Colorado, led the team with 211 special-teams snaps, and finished with 40 special-teams points, while adding 2 catches for 17 yards in the finale. His differentiator is versatility: he’s a high-motor, field-position guy who can help across kickoff, punt, and return units, plus he brings reliable short-area receiving and blocking value. For a team that wants toughness, coverage-unit impact, and hidden-yardage contributions more than a pure volume receiver, he fits well.
