Nation’s Top DT with FCS-High 27.5 TFLs in 2024
Ckelby Givens (often mislisted as Colyn) is Southern University’s elite defensive tackle who led the FCS in tackles for loss (27.5) and tied for the nation in sacks (12) during the 2024 season, earning 2024 SWAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors. Beyond stats, he’s known for relentless intensity, starting all 13 games with zero injury history, and a personality that prioritizes wins over accolades—“accolades are nice, but wins are better.” His differentiator is explosive first-step quickness and consistent pressure, making him a perfect fit for any team needing a game-wrecking DT who elevates the entire defense through sheer intensity and leadership.
