Alyx Rossi brings elite Massachusetts pedigree — but is still adjusting to ACC life at Boston College
Rossi arrives at Boston College as a proven high-upside left-handed pitcher and former 2024-25 Gatorade Massachusetts Softball Player of the Year, praised for dominant high-school production, strikeout volume, and two-way value at the plate[1][2]. The key differentiator is her ceiling: she paired a sub-0.50 ERA and elite WHIP/strikeout numbers in prep ball with strong offensive impact, showing true all-around ability[1][2]. In 2026 at BC, though, she has been hit hard early, so she looks more like a development project than an immediate ace right now[3].
