Drew Van Court brings starter upside and strikeout punch to Pepperdine’s rotation
In the 2026 season, Pepperdine’s Drew Van Court logged a 3.11 ERA over 75.1 innings with 67 strikeouts, a 1.27 WHIP, and a .236 opponent batting average, earning WCC All-Conference honorable mention[1]. At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, the redshirt freshman profile suggests a lean, projectable right-hander who already has enough stuff to miss bats and handle starter volume[1]. The biggest appeal is the combo of workload, contact suppression, and room to grow—exactly the kind of arm a staff can dream on if it wants upside with some polish[1].
