Local Nebraska back with a workhorse profile
Wingender is a Nebraska native who returned to the Huskers after a high-school career that included about 1,000 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior, earning all-conference and all-area honors; that background suggests a competitive, physical runner with proven production and homegrown pride rather than a flashy stat-chaser.[6][3] His listed frame at Nebraska was 5-foot-10 and 250 pounds, which points to a compact power back built to absorb contact and handle tough inside work if he translates that production to the college level.[3]
