Former UNCW walk-on with minimal college minutes, but clear guard instincts
Houston Carter’s UNCW profile shows a 5-foot-11 guard who joined as a walk-on and made his collegiate debut in the 2021-22 season, with high school production that included 16.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists as a senior at Nelson County HS. He looks like a low-usage, energy-depth piece rather than a stat-sheet stuffer: quick enough to handle the ball, comfortable creating for others, and experienced in a role that demands patience and toughness. The appeal is upside as a steady, team-first backcourt organizer, not headline-grabbing numbers.
