Malachi de Sousa

the veteran Albany wing who brings size, hustle, and defensive edge

Malachi de Sousa is a 6-6 Albany wing who has been valued more for his all-around impact than headline scoring: in the 2019-20 season, he averaged 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while starting 21 of 30 games, and Albany credited him with being a disruptive defender who could take on the opponent’s top guard. His fit is strongest for a team that wants length, physicality, and a player willing to do the dirty work; he’s the kind of steady, high-effort piece coaches trust when the game gets chippy.
