Mustafa Greene was a legit early-career spark for NC State: as a true freshman in the 2010 season, he led the Wolfpack in rushing with 597 yards on 134 carries, showing compact, downhill burst and enough balance to be more than a one-cut grinder.[8] He was even tabbed a Blue Ribbon ACC newcomer-to-watch heading into that run, but injuries and off-field issues quickly derailed the trajectory, and he was dismissed in October 2012 after a turbulent stretch.[7][2] If you’re evaluating fit, the talent flashed, but the durability and reliability flags were impossible to ignore.[2][6]
