Roydell Smiley is a steady USC guard with a scorer’s touch and two-way upside
Smiley has shown himself to be a compact, productive backcourt piece for USC, averaging 8.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in the 2025-26 season while shooting 38.9% from the field and 84.4% at the line.[3][4] His value goes beyond box-score scoring: he brings a useful blend of positional size, shot-making, and perimeter activity that can translate into lineup flexibility, especially for a team needing a guard who can contribute without dominating usage.[3] Earlier reports also pointed to him as a high-upside recruit with strong all-around production and national ranking traction.[2][5]
