David Mazanowski brings veteran size, defense, and grit to IU Indianapolis
David Mazanowski is a 6-3 guard for IU Indianapolis who entered college as a hard-nosed, defense-first prospect from Guerin Catholic, where he was regarded as his team’s top defensive player and earned the Larry Bird Character Award. His value is less about box-score pop and more about toughness, reliability, and doing the dirty work—exactly the kind of glue guy coaches trust when they want energy, accountability, and on-ball resistance. If you need a competitive, team-first guard who understands role acceptance, he fits the mold.
