Avery Boykin brings proven ball skills to the Delta Devils secondary
Avery Boykin is a defensive back for Mississippi Valley State with a clear calling card: playmaking in the passing game. ESPN lists him with 6 interceptions, which points to strong instincts, route recognition, and the ability to turn coverage into takeaways[1]. He’s the kind of DB who can change a drive with one read, making him a useful fit for a defense that values disruption over passive coverage[1][5]. Publicly available sources are thin on recent injury or personality context, but his interception production suggests a high-impact, opportunistic defender[1].
