A seasoned Troy DB with veteran instincts and special-teams grit
David Philyaw brings veteran defensive-back experience and a reputation for physical, assignment-sound football, including special-teams value and steady tackling traits that coaches love. Available records show him as a Troy defensive back in the 2000-2002 era, with a role that leaned on toughness, versatility, and reliability rather than flash. If you want a dependable, hard-nosed DB who fits a disciplined system and adds edge on special teams, Philyaw is the kind of player who quietly makes a defense tougher.
