Howard safety Craig Johnson brings upside, but public production data is thin
Craig Johnson is listed as a Howard Bison safety, but publicly available 2025-26 performance stats and scouting detail are limited, so his current impact is harder to quantify than most prospects. That said, his profile matters because safeties are valued for range, tackling reliability, and communication in the back end, and Johnson’s fit will hinge on whether he can bring those traits consistently in-game. For a team, he looks like a projection add: interesting if you want a developmental defensive back with room to grow, but not yet a proven stat-leader type.
