Blue-chip frame, still searching for the breakout snap
Kendrick Gilbert brings the kind of NFL-ish body teams covet at defensive line — 6-foot-5, 265 pounds — plus a pedigree that once made him a four-star recruit and a top-15 position player in Indiana. His résumé is still light on production, though: in the 2024 season at Kentucky he logged five tackles and a tackle for loss in eight games, and he did not see action in his redshirt sophomore season at Louisville. The upside is obvious; the fit makes sense if a staff wants length, power, and developmental pass-rush juice, but he’s still more projection than proven commodity.
