J.R. Sims brings steady two-way guard value for Eastern Michigan
J.R. Sims, a veteran Eastern Michigan guard, has been a dependable rotation piece with a reputation for defense, ball pressure, and timely scoring—he led the Eagles in steals in the 2012-13 season with 49, or 1.4 per game, while also averaging 5.8 points and starting 13 games. Listed at 6-foot-3, he adds length on the perimeter, experience, and a scrappy edge that shows up in the little things. If you want a guard who can defend, compete, and keep possessions clean rather than dominate the usage chart, Sims is the kind of glue guy coaches trust.
