Columbia’s Ed Thomas is a young, versatile defender to watch
Ed Thomas is listed on Columbia’s football roster as a 5-foot-11, 180-pound first-year defender from Cheektowaga, N.Y., but the most current public info available here does not show game-by-game production for a Columbia CB in the 2026 season. That means the main takeaway is projection: he’s a developmental piece with size and room to grow, and his fit depends on how quickly he translates athletic traits into reliable coverage and tackling consistency. If you’re looking for a polished, proven shutdown corner, the public paper trail is thin right now; if you want upside and a young defender who can be coached up, he’s intriguing.
