Rising Assistant Coach, Not Spiders Guard
Mark McGonigal is not a current player on the Richmond Spiders roster but a proven assistant coach who helped Richmond claim the 2023-24 Atlantic 10 regular season title—their first since joining the conference—before stints at Cornell (2024-25, 2nd in Ivy League with key ACC win over Cal) and now Columbia Lions as assistant under head coach Kevin Hovde in 2025-26. His recruiting and operations expertise, plus track record building winners at mid-majors, make him a differentiator for Ivy programs; if seeking a sharp tactician for staff, he's a stellar fit over typical player prospects.
