Cal Poly’s Intense, Fumble-Recovering Safety with Elite Breakup Skills
Angel Morales, a senior safety for the Cal Poly Mustangs, stands out not just for his 65 tackles and three sacks in the 2011 season, but for his relentless intensity and clutch playmaking—recovering four fumbles and breaking up three passes. His differentiator is his fearlessness in coverage and ability to turn defensive stops into momentum shifts, a trait praised by coaches for its game-changing impact. Though no recent injury history is reported, his senior-year grit and leadership make him a high-fit addition for any team seeking a hard-hitting, ball-hawking safety who elevates the entire defense. You should care because Morales doesn’t just play football—he commands it.
