Navy DB with a special-teams edge and a gamer’s mentality
In the 2023 season, Jacob Rooks appeared in 6 games for Navy, mainly on special teams, and recorded his first career pass breakup at SMU — a small stat line, but one that hints at a physical, assignment-sound defender who found ways to contribute when called upon. He’s listed at 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, and his path through the Naval Academy Prep School and multiple prep stops suggests a disciplined, resilient profile rather than a flashy one. If you want a corner who brings toughness, versatility, and buy-in, Rooks is the kind of “trust him to do his job” piece coaches love.
