Kansas State’s compact, hometown back with true utility value
Woods is a **redshirt freshman** at Kansas State from Shawnee, Kansas, and the current roster lists him at **5-8, 166**; ESPN’s career log shows limited early production in 2008, with **19 carries for 63 yards and 1 rushing TD** plus **1 catch for 4 yards**[4][1]. What makes him interesting is his local fit and versatility—he was tracked as a back/athlete recruit, and the profile suggests a player who can bring toughness, compact leverage, and role-player flexibility rather than headline-grabbing volume[3][5].
