smart, physical West Virginia DB with spring momentum
Meckstroth is described by West Virginia as a **smart, physical safety** who had a **great spring**, and that combination makes him appealing for a defense that values reliability, toughness, and football IQ over flash.[3] His listed college production is modest, with WVUStats showing **12 career tackles** across 26 games, so his value appears to come more from role fit, preparation, and practice-level impact than big stat lines.[2][3] If you want a DB who brings discipline, contact balance, and coach-trust traits, he looks like a solid depth-and-development fit.[3]
