Elijah Douglas is a 6-3, 280-pound defensive lineman from Pine Forest HS who arrived at Southern Miss as a three-star recruit and was rated by 247Sports Composite as a top-175 player in Florida and a top-135 defensive lineman nationally in the 2023 class[1][4]. In high school, he showed real disruption skills with 123 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and a pick-six, which tells you he’s more than just a space-eater[1][4]. Southern Miss staff publicly praised him as a guy who could become an “elite” Group of Five player[5].
