High-motor DB with a proven competitive edge
Scorpio Babers is the kind of defensive back teams like because he brings **passion, determination, and consistency** rather than flash alone; an ESPN evaluation described him as a marginal prospect but singled out those traits as his differentiators. In a Sam Houston fit, that points to a player who can raise the room’s energy, stay engaged play after play, and compete for snaps with an underdog edge—useful if you want a DB who leans on toughness, buy-in, and steady effort more than hype.
