Huxley Holcombe brings swing-and-miss lefty upside for Cornell
In the 2026 season, Cornell left-hander Huxley Holcombe has flashed real starter value, including a 6.0-inning, 1-run outing at Dartmouth and a 2025 career day with 7.2 innings and 7 strikeouts against Columbia, showing he can work deep and miss bats when his command is on. His profile is built on toughness, length, and a competitive feel rather than pure overpowering stuff, and Cornell’s own coverage has highlighted how quickly he can settle in after rough early stretches. He looks like the kind of arm a staff can trust when it wants a durable, high-upside competitor with grit.
