Jackson State DB Patrick Wheelock: Intriguing defensive depth with upside in the secondary
Patrick Wheelock profiles as a **depth-and-upside defensive back** for Jackson State, but public stat and scouting detail is limited, so the best read is that he’s a name to watch for how he competes for snaps in a demanding secondary. With no reliable season-by-season performance data surfaced in the available results, his value is harder to quantify than some peers; that usually means the real differentiators will be **coverage instincts, physicality, and consistency in practice** rather than headline numbers. If your team wants a developmental DB who can grow into a role, Wheelock is worth monitoring.
