Gardner-Webb veteran DB Dave Simpson brings experience, contact toughness, and steady back-end reliability
Dave Simpson profiles as an experienced **strong safety** who can help a defense with physical play, improved speed and mobility, and a track record of production, including 53 tackles and an interception in his 2006 Gardner-Webb season. Gardner-Webb’s roster bio says he enjoys contact, has already logged 15 career starts, and showed a solid spring with strong testing, which suggests a dependable, high-energy defensive back rather than just a stats-only player. For a team needing a seasoned secondary piece who plays with edge and can handle contact, he fits well.[14]
