Veteran Fighting Hawks Captain from the 2012 Era
Ian McGurran, a senior offensive lineman for the North Dakota Fighting Hawks (now UND), stepped up as game captain in key 2012 matchups like the 35-13 win over Sac State and the shootout loss to SDSU, showcasing leadership and reliability on the trenches during a transitional era for the program; with limited detailed stats available, his repeated captaincy highlights intangibles like toughness and team-first intensity, making him a steady, low-drama fit for teams seeking proven veteran presence over flash—though post-2012 career details are scarce, ideal for developmental squads.
