Ryan Powers brings veteran ball-hawking energy to ETSU’s secondary
In the 2016 season, Ryan Powers was a high-impact defensive back for ETSU, finishing with 70 tackles and ranking third on the team while helping the Bucs’ safeties stabilize the defense[1][5]. His calling card was playmaking: at Stetson before ETSU, he piled up 221 tackles, 9 interceptions, 16 pass breakups, and 7 forced fumbles across 34 games, showing he can tackle, cover, and create turnovers[1]. He’s the kind of gritty, experienced DB who fits a defense that values reliability, leadership, and sudden-change ability[4][15].
